This certification is obtained once you pass your first qualifying Microsoft exam. There are many exams that fall under this category that would allow you to complete your first Microsoft certification. MCP exams validates your knowledge and experience of content and scenarios in the IT field.
Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)
There are different paths to take to obtain your MCSA certification. Currently, the main course offering will be the server certification. To receive your MCSA, there are three exams to be completed. This certification is the next step up from the MCP certification. Although it is an entry level certification, it allows you to become knowledgeable in servers. Additionally, it prepares one for positions like Computer System Administrator and Computer Network Specialist.
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
This certification can be obtained after you have received your MCSA. There are different categories you can pick from such as: Business Applications, Cloud Platform and Infrastructure, Data Management and Analytics, Mobility and Productivity. Within those categories you have to pass one exam to complete the MCSE certification. This allows you to move into different areas that you desire a specialty, and it prepares you to provide solutions to the cloud and on-site technologies.
